Film and stage actor, director, and visual artist, Daniel Hainsworth, was born in Nashville, Tennessee. After becoming involved in high school theatrics, and several years of piano lessons, he attended Emerson College, graduating with a B.F.A. degree in Musical Theatre. He has appeared off-Broadway in ReGroup Theatre Company's productions of 1931, Big Night, and the critically acclaimed staged reading of Kurt Weill and Paul Green’s musical, Johnny Johnson, directed by Estelle Parsons. He made his feature film debut under the direction of Martin Scorsese in Paramount Pictures' The Wolf of Wall Street. In 2007, he received an Irene Ryan KCACTF nomination for acting, and, in 2010, he won the award for ‘Best Actor’ for his performance in Paul Testagrossa’s True Love in the Avante Garde Theatre Festival. He is the founder and co-artistic director of the Midnight Society Theatre Company, and a company member of ReGroup Theatre Company. His neo-expressionistic paintings are represented in numerous private collections throughout the Southeastern United States and can be viewed, purchased and commissioned through his studio in Nashville, TN.
